The Listening Panel
Hear it first. Tell us what you hear.
We're choosing a small group of people who listen a lot, and who'd enjoy listening a little more carefully. Panel members get the whole catalogue free while they're on the panel. In return, they tell us what's working and what isn't.
What you'd do
- Listen to new releases soon after they arrive — especially Chapter One, because that's the first thing every new listener hears.
- Mark a problem at the exact second. The Something sounds wrong here button in the player saves where you are. Things worth flagging: a garbled or slurred word, a word that doesn't belong, a name said two different ways, a passage that skips or repeats, a sudden jump in volume, audio that stops early, or a chapter that doesn't match its title.
- Tell us when it's right, too. Panel members get a Heard it clean button: listen to a chapter start to finish, and if nothing was wrong, press it. A chapter nobody has complained about looks exactly like one nobody has heard — your mark is how we know the difference.
- Use the player the way you really would. On your phone with the screen off, in the car, picking up where you left off the next day. If something about the app gets in your way, that's a report too.
- A short note every couple of weeks — what you finished, what you'd have skipped, where a story dragged or grabbed you. A few lines is plenty.
No schedule, no quota, and no technical knowledge needed — just good ears and a willingness to say so. If life gets busy, tell us and step back any time.
Apply
We read every application and write back either way. We use what you send only to choose the panel and to reach you about it.
